Donations for the Cherokee Street Statue

Cherokee Scuplture 2021 (2).jpg

The Celebration of Arts and Antiques on Cherokee Street Organization is trying to replace a lost icon before it's completely forgotten.  Last year the Cherokee Indian Statute that sat at the intersection of Cherokee and Jefferson Streets was removed.   This iconic statue stood for years, welcoming visitors to our neighborhood.  With your help, we are trying to replace this lost piece of our community's history by honoring those indigenous people after whom our street is proudly named.  Your donation will help us commission Eddie Morrison, a native American sculptor, to recreate the iconic Cherokee Statue out of stone, concrete, and marble.  This new statue will be located at the intersection of Cherokee and  Missouri Streets, marking the beginning of Cherokee's Antique Row.  Any assistance in helping us to replace and recreate this lost piece of our neighborhood's history will be greatly appreciated.
