COMMISSIONERS PRESENT – John Brauer, Shashi Palamand, Mark Farley, Barbara Moore

COMMISSIONERS ABSENT – Mark Overton

GUESTS PRESENT – Shirley DeMay, Cherri Elder, Keith Saunchegraw, Samuel Coleman (Field Service Manager, License Collector), Drew Shauster ,St. Louis Bourbon Festival

1. Call to Order

2. Approval of June 1, 2023 Minutes – Approved

3. Treasury Report – The beginning balance in June was $17,496.00. We paid Elders (2 stores) $100 for flowers, Goodman Band $400 (June 1 and June 16), Cherokee Court $250 flowers, Global Insurance $797, Goodman Band $200, CTM $360, MCA $375, DeMay $50 flowers, leaving a balance of $14,964.

4. St. Louis Bourbon Festival – The festival will be held on October 6, 2023, at the Historic Lemp Mansion, Lemp Grand Hall and Lofts from 5-9. The venue is located at 1817 Cherokee. Learn more at www.stlouisbourbonsociety.com. The festival will be advertised on the website.

5. Marketing in the Community Directory – Mark will contact Tammy about a bill and see if we are advertised in the University Directory.  Beautification – Mark is getting bids for updating our Cherokee Antique Row signs. Shashi made a motion to buy the signs when all the information is available. We can call the Citizens’ Service Bureau at 314-622-4800 to report overflowing trash cans.

6. Brochures – are available at 1947 Cherokee.

7. 1909 Parking Lot – Shashi and John will update the lease.

8. Music on Cherokee – The Goodman Band had a big crowd while playing. John will get a list of bands and dates for the website.

9. Website – Tabled

10. Samuel Coleman – Field Service Manager, License Collector – Vending is not allowed on the street unless there is permission. You need to have a vendor’s license and pay sales tax. You can contact Mr. Coleman’s office for suspicious activity at 314-613-3117.

11. Cherokee Caravan – The Caravan needs to comply with a workerman’s compensation audit, or we will be fined $2,000.
